Homestay Program of Delta School District
Our homestay program is run by the school district, not a private business, so school district staff are committed to providing a safe, quality homestay for each visiting student. All home families have been screened with a criminal record check and have been inspected to ensure high quality, safe, and welcoming environments.
- A private bedroom, which includes a comfortable bed, study table, and lamp
- Bathroom and laundry facilities
- Three substantial meals a day and snacks
- Transportation to and from school if required
- Airport pick up and drop off
International students will submit the homestay profile page, which allows them to list specific requirements of a homestay family. Once a family is selected, we will email a profile with pictures and contact numbers/email address, so that new students will have more information about their host family and will be able to make initial contact prior to arrival if desired.

Testimonials
"I don't know where to start to say a few words about the wonderful experience - impact rather - that having 2 brothers from Mexico join our family for 2 years and then the oldest - Jonny stayed for a third year... Through the years in our house, they learned how to roller-blade ice skate, ski at Whistler mountain, and their favourite place, Sun Peaks resort. They went camping with us in our boat during the summer, took swimming lessons, Karate, Soccer, football, rugby, and Cesar and my oldest son Cory shared a paper route and played on a roller hockey team together..."
